SC Johnson Child Care Center
The SC Johnson Child Care Center serves more than 500 children from
birth to 14 years of age. Located in the company's private 146-acre park in Racine,
Wisconsin, the Child Care Center, built in 1991, is a unique 20,000 square foot
complex that many consider "state-of-the-art."
The building was developed around an "open concept" that encourages free
flowing interaction between the children, staff, equipment and activities.
Designed with children in mind, the irregular-shaped home bases include small,
private spaces, multiple colors, natural light and fixtures set at the appropriate
height to accommodate the various age groups of children served.
Programs include year-round before and after-school care, full- and part-time
care for newborns through kindergartners, and summer day camp from June
through August. The center's services are offered across all three shifts for
employees' children.
The SC Johnson Child Care Center is one of just a handful of corporate
child care centers accredited by the National Association for Education
of Young Children.
