In 2005, SC Johnson became the first major consumer packaged goods company to partner with the EPA in its Design for the Environment program.

This effort, one of the U.S. EPA's premier partnership programs, promotes innovative products, technologies and practices that benefit human health and the environment.

Through Design for the Environment, SC Johnson works with EPA chemists, environmental scientists and others to investigate materials that can further improve the health and environmental profile of our products.

And as part of the Design for the Environment program, the EPA designates products as "partnership products," acknowledging that they exemplify an approach and commitment to having a more positive health and environmental profile.
